Weyerhaeuser Export Documentation Specialist in Seattle, Washington

The Export Supply Chain Team has an immediate opening for an Export Documentation Specialist. This position can be based at the Headquarters building in Pioneer Square Seattle or the Hot Springs, AR office.

The role is responsible for preparing export documentations for Wood Products and Timberlands shipping to various countries. Productivity and quality are measured as an individual contributor.

Job Expectations:

  • Intermediate skill set to manage and prepare with acute accuracy export documents for Wood Products and Timberlands to our customers, oversea agents and/or banks.
  • Solid understanding of requirement to examine Letters of Credit for Weyerhaeuser’s ability to comply (in accordance with UCP 600) and communicate findings. Manages time sensitive export customs filings to ensure regulation requirements are met.
  • Effectively operates in SAP to perform complex shipment planning, workcycle management, new customer set ups and freight rate management/reconciliation.
  • Communicates effectively with Global Trade Partners on a daily basis regarding Letters of Credit, compliance, regulation changes on behalf of WY for WP and Timberlands in Canada and the US.
  • Responsible for accurate reporting, month end financial closing activities to meet all audit requirements for revenue recognition.
  • Works independently to manage time and has the ability to prioritize changing work activities.

  • 2 yr degree and 3 to 4 years Wood Products or Supply Chain experience in related field

  • Knowledge of export compliance and Letter of Credit MS Office; ERP desired
  • 3 years’ experience preferably in an international field or with exposure to Export / Offshore markets
  • Ability to work cooperatively and supportively in a team environment
  • Work well under pressure while routinely meeting deadlines
  • Ability to work well with people across a large organization from diverse cultures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Power BI / Excel experience desired

What We Offer

Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $56,547 to $100,055 based on your level of skills, qualifications, and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 5% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

Paid Time Off or Vacation: We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with paid vacation for up to 3 weeks to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 hours along with paid parental leave for all full-time employees.
