Weyerhaeuser Storeroom Coordinator in Kalispell, Montana

This position is responsible for a combination of duties in a storeroom and provides purchasing, receiving and shipping support. Duties include ensuring storeroom inventory remains stocked and routine materials are available as needed by the Kalispell complex (including Plywood, Lumber, Log Yard, Boiler and other areas of the complex). In addition, this role is responsible for inventory cycle counts, receiving, stocking and issuing parts, equipment and supplies.

The Storeroom Coordinator role is part of the Montana Wood Products Material Procurement organization and reports to the Kalispell Buyer/Material Manager.

As the Storeroom Coordinator for the Kalispell Complex, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Purchase MRO and stock items
  • Maintain agreed upon inventory levels
  • Keep store catalog updated
  • Perform all day-to-day inventory transactions such as issues, returns, credits and reconciliations.
  • Perform various AP related functions such as Work Cycles, etc.
  • Manage vendor inventory and vending machines: including having responsibility for re-order process documentation and approvals.
  • Run kitting and delivery pick lists, stages parts and run associated reports.
  • Assist with shipping/receiving tasks; including physical and/or electronic shipping and receiving of materials, operating materials handling equipment (including forklift), performing service receipts, local pickups or deliveries, completing customs paperwork, etc.
  • Assist with inventory cycle counts per direction of the Buyer/Material Manager and associated reconciliations per best practices and financial reporting guidelines.
  • Educate storeroom customers/contractors on storeroom processes.
  • Maintain a clean working environment in storeroom related areas.
  • Be a key contributing team member for the Kalispell manufacturing operations with ability to back up the Receiving Clerk and Buyer/Material Manager as necessary.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

  • Two or more years of purchasing or storeroom experience preferred.
  • General knowledge of accounting/financial principles preferred.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Required Skills:

  • Computer proficiency including Office, Excel, Word, and Web-based programs required (Proficiency with SAP preferred, but not required).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to adapt to priority changes and constant interruptions.
  • Excellent time management, communication (oral, written and listening) and interpersonal skills required to interact and participate in a team environment.
  • Ability to cross-train in Buyer/MM role as backup.
  • Ability to process data with a high degree of accuracy and detail
  • Ability to work independently and to be self-motivated
  • Ability to work closely with management team.
  • Must be willing to work overtime when required
